I cannot imagine anybody interesting in a Ducati Diavel with a diesel engine

Despite the name, the Ducati Diavel Diesel isn’t a radical leap into the world of compression-ignition (diesel) engines for the Italian firm. It’s actually a tie-in with the Diesel fashion label/brand, following on from the Ducati Monster Diesel offered in 2013.

So what makes the Ducati Diavel Diesel so special, is it just a regular Ducati Diavel with another paint job?

The Ducati Diavel Diesel edition is covered in brushed-steel panels, with visible welding and rivets. Despite having the appearance of an unfinished special, the Ducati Diavel Diesel is a limited production model.

The Diavel Diesel’s mechanical specifications is stock Ducati Diavel; the special parts include bodywork, Diesel logos on the sides, a red LCD dash, red finish on the Brembo calipers, Zircotec on the exhausts and a real leather seat.

There’s also a numbered plate on the frame carrying the words ‘Never Look Back’, but that’s not an instruction to be taken literally because Ducati has also fitted mirrors machined from solid aluminum to allow you to do precisely the opposite.

Note: Ducati will produce only 666 units (distributed worldwide) of the Ducati Diavel Diesel so they’re likely sold out before they hit the showrooms.
