Yamaha’s Grand Prix history to shine in UK and France in coming weeks

Master BuildersYamaha will see out the remaining weeks of a memorable 50th year of Grand Prix racing with a comprehensive display of their achievements and history on the track for British and French audiences.

Visitors to the Motorcycle Live Show in Birmingham and the Motorcycle, Scooter, Quad Show (Le Salon de la Moto) in Paris will be able to roll back the years and memories with the presence of the Yamaha Anniversary Expo; in the UK from November 19th-27th and in France from November 30th-December 4th.

Fourteen pristine GP machines form the heart of the Expo exhibition, among them are the iconic YZR500s ridden by Giacomo Agostini (1975), Kenny Roberts (1978), Eddie Lawson (1984) and Wayne Rainey (1992), the conquering 1965 RD56 250 of Phil Read right up to the mighty YZR-M1 that Jorge Lorenzo raced to the MotoGP title last year. The machines are surrounded by memorabilia, vintage photos and audio-visual flashbacks of a half-century of Yamaha GP competition; creating an unmissable trek into Grand Prix past.

At previous events Yamaha’s Anniversary Expo has been a huge hit. Visitors clearly relished the chance to come face to face with Yamaha’s yesteryear and some of their important technical landmarks and feats of human endeavour throughout each of the last five decades.
