The BMW R1200S HP2 Sport, for ambitious sports riders

BMW is latest addition to its HP range of bikes, the BMW HP2 sport. In much the same way it turned the BMW R1200GS into the BMW HP2, BMW has essentially lightened the BMW R1200S and added some higher specification components.

According to BMW sources the BMW HP2 Sport will come with a carbon Telelever, single seat, carbon rear sub-frame, titanium exhaust, forged aluminum wheels and a whole host of trick titanium and magnesium engine components. Power has been increased to over 133 hp while weight has been trimmed to 200kg with fuel. The high-end 2-cylinder 4-valve per cylinder boxer engine impressively demonstrates the state of the art in engine technology. This big boxer makes Rocky Bilbao look like a big girl's blouse.
Exclusive motor racing features to be found in serial production for the first time such as the shift assistant which allows shifting without accelerator release and clutch disengagement, and the DOHC cylinder head with its four radially arranged valves.

Horsepower aside, it'll be make this bike a very interesting ride. The BMW HP2 Sport is expected to be in the Thai showrooms at the of February.

In short: the refinement of the BMW HP2 Sport combines impressively high riding performance and exclusive visual appearance to provide maximum riding pleasure as you have never experienced it on a flat twin "Boxer" before!
