It doesn’t matter how much money you have – you can’t buy good taste. More importantly, though, you can’t put a price on safety. Try telling that to Portuguese company NEXX Helmets. It’s had a crack at giving riders the chance to do both, with its NEXX X.G100 helmets.
We know taste is subjective. Or at east that’s what people with bad taste say. But you’d struggle to find someone who thinks these helmets aren’t pretty. They’re like dolphins at sunset, or some other beautiful thing…
From the NEXX X-Garage range, the X.G100s are handmade in Portugal, Europe and include the limited edition range of Maria graphics designed in conjunction with the Maria Riding Company, a well-known Portuguese motorcycle builder. The result? Bonita!
But it’s not all style. The full-face shell is made from a blend of carbon-fiber, Kevlar, fiberglass and organic fibers. This makes the helmet 10 percent lighter than one with an equivalent fiberglass shell – it’s just 1200 grams. It’s also 35 percent stronger than a fiberglass helmet.
Other features include padding with anti-sweat and anti-allergic fabric, a washable lining, PC Lexan shield and smoked visor, plus a sun peak. Nexx X.G100 helmets are available in Bangkok for 11,900 THB for the basic colors and 12,900 THB for the more colorful designs. The limited edition with Maria Cycles design costs 12,900 THB.Tag: Nexx Helmet X-Garage X.G100 Maria-Cycles Portugal Full-Face-Helmet Carbon-Fiber Kevlar Safety Design Handmade
